Michigan invasion

My friend Sue Every has been with me for a week and it's been so wonderful. She loves my park and understands why I love it so much. She's walked the trails and enjoyed the deer and white squirrels. We've identified flowers and marveled at the shapes of the live oak trees. We've eaten seafood and BBQ and she's cooked some great dinners.

The Michigan invasion continued with the arrival of Mark Schultz and Ann and Jim Ball. We had great conversations over a campfire with Mark and Sue.  Later Ann and Jim joined us for fabulous hotdogs over the fire.  Mmmmmm.   Lastly an excellent dinner at Angelos with an awesome sunset topped off the evening. It was really great to have the group together. The invasion was a success.

Bursitis

My garden grows.

Bursitis:
A bit unpleasant to experience.  Shoulder pain when lying down. It was awful. Couldn't sleep.  I gave it three days to go away, then did the ice pack and Tylenol pm.  Couple more days and I was okay. A little memory ache, but not a bother. Reading about it on the net - I sure wouldn't want it in my hip or knee. Sometimes it doesn't go away and some really nasty stuff would be done. Most unpleasant.

Sue Every is coming tomorrow, Friday, or Saturday. I know she'll love it here in the park. We went tent camping a lot together years ago.  She loves the outdoors as much as I do.

Hang'in out

Said is here for a long weekend and the weather is perfect.  It's been a long, chilly winter and changed just for him.
Things are looking up.

KT walked in front of me just as I was taking a picture of my pretty little garden.
Little rascal!
Waiting for my geranium to bloom.
Spring is coming quickly. Camellias are blooming and the magnolias are budding. Saw some little yellow Indian paint brushes blooming.

Interesting

Kt relaxing on the couch.

On our day off, KT and I went to Woodville to the Natural Bridge Battlefield State Park. It's a monument marking a battle the confederacy won against the Invaders (Union) forces. They saved Tallahassee from being captured from the south - the only confederate capital city that was never captured. Amazing!  Daughters and Sons of the confederacy.   Makes us look bad cuz we seldom ever mention thanking our union soldiers for saving our union. That was such an important war and we, in the north, hardly think about it.  Shame on us.
