Nondescript campground in a unique town. This is where many oil company employees live. It has as many mansions as any place in the us. Very upscale.
I forgot to say that there were pecan trees all over the place at Poches in Beau Bridges and Said gathered tons of them off the ground. What a treat!
Tomorrow we go to Grand Isle State Park. It's at the end of the earth and has wifi. Too bad our MI sp's can't keep up.
There are lots of canals with zillions of shrimp boats throughout the town. If you looked at Houma on a map you would never imagine it has Gulf access. We spent a half our waiting for some barges ang tugs to pass so the bridge could be lowered. Everyone walked around talking -very friendly- then went back to their cars when the bridge opened. No road rage, just so relaxed and carefree.
