A little slow with my updates

Martin Luther King day was a difficult day at times for me.  One of out campers had the confederate flag hanging off his awning.  It was really an awful thing to do.  However, he has the right to do it.  Grrr  Hard to keep my mouth shut.  I was really offended.
It's different in the south.  Maybe because they lost the war and suffered during and after?  We, from the North, don't really even think about it.  There are often celebrations for the ancestors who fought in thee Civil War for the South.  We don't do that.  There is a lot of pride to be related to one of those Confederate soldiers.  Yup - some are really stuck in the past and still fighting.  One of the volunteers from another park refers to me as, that Yankee gal.  However, I'm treated very well by everyone.  Miss Janey, maam, hon, etc.  Dripping with southern hospitality.

Met a guy from Hart, MI.  He owns a motel, shuts it down for the winter, and travels for 3 or 4 months in the south.  Perfect.  He had a jeep that was fitted out with so much stuff, Im surprised it could move at all.  He slept in a tent and froze his a---  off.  Between the cold and the pouring - I mean POURING - rain, he did have one 75* day.

Tuck and I are having a ball exploring all the little back roads and two tracks. We went to the beach today, but it was really cold and windy.  Went hiking at Bald Point State Park.  Beautiful!  Visiting a wonderful garden/garden shop is fun.  They have a zillion different kinds of orange trees and I get to grab some of each kind.  There's even one that has a bluish interior.  Tastes great, but looks very bad.  I bought some herbs and violas.  I have a lovely little garden.  Really a cheerful little thing.
